New Orleans Bounce Exposed on So You Think You Can Dance

By Shane Craver on September 30, 2009

Fox's fifth season of "So You Think You Can Dance" introduces the "New Orleans Bounce" via 20 year-old Louisiana native, Shelby "Skip" Skipper.

Skip hit the stage during the New Orleans auditions and wowed the judges in a hyper-bouncing performance, which aired on Wednesday night.

Skip's moves gave him the unanimous votes to bypass a second audition round and moved on directly to the Vegas round.

The New Orleans Bounce highlight of the show by Skipper comes after Tuesday night's editing snafu that appears to have allowed a contestant's panty-less private parts to hit the broadcast airwaves.

Responding to the flashing incident, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told TMZ, "None of us knew she did this. The show was always designed to expose talent, but not in this way."

The exposure incident was a first for "So You Think You Can Dance" which typically exposes new dancers and moves like Skip's New Orleans Bounce.

I think the music is by the guy who was with him, Donald "Big Choo" Norris. Check out Shelby's Facebook page and ask him.
