"Food Lover's Diet" 21-day Trial

By Shane Craver on September 27, 2009

As soon as it hits the mailbox, I'll be starting a 21-day trail of the new weight loss program marketed as the "Food Lover's Fat Loss System."

The program has been airing a lengthy infomercial in recent weeks and is coupled with the guarantee:

The only way you’re really going to know how easy it is to actually use your favorite foods to lose weight and get lean and healthy is to try it for yourself. Do the 21 day program. If you don’t lose pounds, shed inches and completely make over your metabolism – all in just 21 days - eating only the foods you love, send it back within 8 weeks of receiving it and we’ll refund the purchase price, less shipping and handling. No questions asked. There’s no risk.

The system is based on the Glycemic Index, which is also being touted by Nutrisystem. More interesting, the system's creator, Robert Ferguson, addresses "slow carbs" which is little-known technique for losing fat while maintaining a good balance within your meal plans. Imagine the benefits of a zero-carb diet without having to eat zero-carbs. It's a very good thing.

I'll keep you up to date on my progress and will be tracking results through Fitness Journal.

Wish me luck and here's a clip of the infomercial:
