Survivor Competition Takes an Odd Turn when Jealousy Rules

Reality television show Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains took an odd turn this week when super-villain Russell Hantz turned on his own alliance and successfully booted another “villain” from the island.

Hantz who is notorious for his ability to find hidden immunity idols without clues and control votes, seemed to have thrown strategy out of the window when he switched a majority of the cast member’s votes to vote out fellow-villain Danielle.

Survivor’s host, Jeff Probst, described the move as a result of a “lover’s spat” between Russell Hantz and Parvati, this season’s evil vixen.

Hantz, feeling Parvati and Danielle had become too close, switched the vote at the last minute to vote off Danielle, who had been a somewhat loyal ally.

The move shocked the heroes, Rupert and Colby whose days in the game were numbered until Russell made the emotionally-driven big move. The move also infuriated Russell’s only true alliance member, Parvati.

This season of Survivor is turning out to be its best, which is a blessing for the show’s producers who have suffered season-after-season with a lack-luster cast.

Probst was clear when writing why this is the case, “Russell’s game play continues to be one of the big reasons this season is so good.”

Hantz, who is loved and hated by fans of the show, has become the primary focus of the season, which is fair given that he’s controlling the competition.

Hey, I love Russell! Sure, he's evil but he's playing a game all out. Other people lose and say they were trying to play a fair or honest game. BS. They lost. Simple as that. I just hope Russell wins this time instead of getting robbed for second.
