iPad 3g Launches, Apple Fans Move to iPhone 4 Hype

By Ethan Lee on April 30, 2010

Apple came through with their promise to ship the 3g version of the iPad by the end of April, and fans continued to line up in front of Apple stores to get their hands on the very latest release from Cupertino.

With the iPad hype far past its crescendo , Apple fans and gadget junkies are quickly shifting their focus of speculation to the recently leaked iPhone 4 or iPhone HD.

The most media-tuned readers are aware, the iPhone 4 was “leaked” to Gadget blog Gizmodo. As a result, the world received an in-depth view of the new device before Apple’s marketing magic team had a chance to weigh in.

What we know know about the iPhone 4 is that it should be released with a significantly different, somewhat retro design, offers a forward facing camera along with the bells-and-whistles of performance improvements that a new version of what is an already amazing product should have – faster processors and extended battery life.

It could be argued that the leak to Gizmodo has taken away from some of the marvelous mystery that comes with a new Apple release. It could also be said that that’s the job of a gadget blog, to slice through the hype and get to the facts.

Regardless, as members of the Cult of the White Earbuds surf the web looking for news on Apple’s next release, they’ll be doing so on a giant version of an iPod touch.

Whether you love him or hate him, there’s no arguing that Steve Jobs is a(n) (evil) genius.
