Ebay Addicts Profit from iPad's U.S. Only Release

By Shane Craver on April 28, 2010

Ebayers across the nation are gobbling up Apple iPads to list them on the auction web site with the hopes of profiting off of overseas buyers.

The iPad, which was launched in early April, is still not available to the world market and even that launch date has been pushed back to late May.

In the meantime, thousands of auctions have taken place selling Apple’s latest release, the iPad tablet, for as much as $2,000 for the model that retails for only $699.

Before the iPad launched, stores in Hong Kong and Japan were rumored to be paying students to purchase and ship back the WiFi only version.

Now, with the iPads readily available, any American with room on their credit card can buy several iPads at their local Best Buy and post them on eBay for a nice, quick profit.
